A Beautiful Encounter

That's how close I could get to these big guys in the wilderness. From what I've observed Yaks are only found at very high altitudes, close to 14000ft and beyond. It was a dreamy afternoon with a temperature below 5 degrees. Yak cheese, locally known as 'Churpi' is quite popular in the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh. I'm back in Vizag, but every night I still dream about the places that I've been to... maybe a part of me is still up in the beautiful mountains.

I Woke Up

I’ve travelled from lowest to highest of altitudes,
Busy plains, dusty plateaus, beautiful valleys, breathtaking peaks;
Experienced hospitality and warmth of different cultures,
Lived through varied climates - temperate to cold.

To realise, you were always with me,
In everything I saw, I saw a bit of you;
Puppy, svelte, bike, couch, curves, landscapes, skies,
Everything transformed and came alive with your presence.

I laughed, cried and smiled with you inside,
Deep-rooted moments just don’t fade, do they?
Push them, stab them, disown them, ignore them,
They are here to stay, somewhere in between heaven and earth.

And I woke up…

Purpose and Passion

It's not about where you are born,
It's all about where you are borne;
Purpose and passion take centre stage,
Boundaries and barriers break their cage.

Chill in my Bones

Wherever I am, whatever I do, with whomever I would be,
My last wish would be to see her eyes before I close mine.

I would still feel the chill in my bones and thump in my heart.

Girl with a Sublime Touch

No order can explain,
No border can restrain,
No pageant can confine,
Neither can I refrain…

O' Girl with such sublime touch.

Disillusion

I'm that person who would have stood forever by your side, but you lost me in your disillusioned world view, chasing things that you knew would never last.

Let Nature be your Teacher

Concrete walls, compromised values
Flash drives, fast wheels;
Less love, more work
Let nature be your teacher.

Heart's Cry

Who can understand heart's cry?
When the beloved drifted dry;
Wavered and wretched  walked,
Waivered and wrecked the heart wept.

Nostalgia Remains!

I see her, I see her swells;
Same rush in my blood cells.
Talking beauty, walking Beauty;
Sleeping beauty, heartless beauty.

Nostalgia Remains!

Beauty and Character

Beauty is a depreciating asset that diminishes with time; Character is an appreciating asset that strengthens with time.

Forever Bound

Time may fade away,
Hair may grow grey;
Beauty lost - wisdom found,
Still I long - forever bound.

Beyond Sport

Did you watch or follow the Olympics?

At London 2012, in most of the events, performances were jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring; wonderful athletes with mastery and perfection. With 204 countries and 10,500 participants, it was undoubtedly the best sporting event on the planet. Thanks to Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin for reviving the modern day Olympics. His words "The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle, the essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well." are ideal. I felt these games go beyond just sport, into the very existence of unity and integrity among these Nations that are diverse with various inhibitions.

Fortunes are made and realised every day during the small stay at an individual and national level. Tears of joy and tears of pain, an amalgamation of all the possible emotions came alive with a hope for a better tomorrow. Whether it is Beijing 2008 or London 2012, it is the triumph of the Human Race and Spirit.

Invisible Strings

A voice so sweet, a chant so mellifluous,
A heart so tender, a mind so languorous;
Invisible strings, invincible inhibitions,
Restrained freedom, heartrending emotions.

Hazel Eyes

Eyes so dazzling, Eyes so sharp,
Hazels that sting, made me harp;
Bewitched, bewildered, lost in wonder,
Relished, replenished, last that yonder.

Masterpiece

Living your life compelled by others interests and pride is a waste of His creation.You are made unique, you are a Masterpiece.

November 10th, 2010

After a break I went to play badminton in the morning, it is always a nice feeling to be back on the court. Today one of the things that got my attention was bikes, yeah they become an integral part of life. What a good bike brings with it is, 'FREEDOM'.  I guess most of us are aware of the slogan of Red Bull, "it gives you wings", I'm not sure about that but I feel a good bike definitely gives you wings and makes you feel better. I've been to St. Joseph's college in the afternoon for practicing the Play "Little Design" which we will be staging on 13th of this month.  We performed it on the 4th of this month and it turned out to be good, I wish and hope the same on 13th too. It's a wonderful experience right from the first day of practice. We had Youth Bible Study in the evening and had a good time knowing more about God. My day isn't complete without visiting the beach, I feel privileged to be part of Vizag 'The City of Destiny' as someone rightly said.

November 9th, 2010

Yesterday, I've been to several villages traveling around 180kms. When compared to urban setup rural lifestyle differs a lot - the priorities, cultures, mindsets, schedules etc.  Today, I had a great time talking and chatting with friends. In the evening went to visit Gypsies,  the underprivileged sect of the society.  Begging is the livelihood for these people.  They wander from place to place and live in unhygienic and pathetic conditions.  I should appreciate Pastor Paul Augustine for pioneering this ministry where we do our bit to help these people.  Had delicious Mysore Bonda at hotel Tycoon and went for a walk to the beach which is always a pleasure. Everyday life teaches certain things, as we live we learn many things, especially behavior and psyche of people around you.  I feel possessiveness and the desire to control other people cause a lot of problems. I also feel it's not a right thing to judge people without any proper base and truth. I'm always reminded of a beautiful quote " We are called to be Witnesses; not Judges and Lawyers". Well looking forward to tomorrow and things that unfold in their time.
