November 9th, 2010

Yesterday, I've been to several villages traveling around 180kms. When compared to urban setup rural lifestyle differs a lot - the priorities, cultures, mindsets, schedules etc.  Today, I had a great time talking and chatting with friends. In the evening went to visit Gypsies,  the underprivileged sect of the society.  Begging is the livelihood for these people.  They wander from place to place and live in unhygienic and pathetic conditions.  I should appreciate Pastor Paul Augustine for pioneering this ministry where we do our bit to help these people.  Had delicious Mysore Bonda at hotel Tycoon and went for a walk to the beach which is always a pleasure. Everyday life teaches certain things, as we live we learn many things, especially behavior and psyche of people around you.  I feel possessiveness and the desire to control other people cause a lot of problems. I also feel it's not a right thing to judge people without any proper base and truth. I'm always reminded of a beautiful quote " We are called to be Witnesses; not Judges and Lawyers". Well looking forward to tomorrow and things that unfold in their time.
